Many people might say that being an Aston Villa supporter at the moment is like being on a hospital waiting list, you know eventually something is going to happen but you don’t know for sure what is really going to happen when it does. This uncertainty bounds around like echo’s in a grand hall amongst the team’s loyal supporters and although on the most part we are sick of thinking about matters off the pitch you just cannot help yourself.

On the pitch and there seems to be much room for optimism after a near record worst start to a premiership campaign we are now on a very impressive run of form especially away from Villa Park. I was absolutely buzzing with the result away to Middlesbrough, they do look a demoralized outfit but we showed we were willing to take the game to them 100% away from home. When you have suffered such a terrible start to a season I don’t think anybody would truly deprive you the pleasure of seeing opposition players cry and supporters throwing season tickets at the manager.

Maybe this is cruel but it epitomizes our turn in fortunes and marks the difference between us and some of the other teams below us in the league table at the moment.

Because of our more than shaky home form this season I am still on the fence as to weather we will be making that end of season run up the table or remaining rooted to a 10-15 place finish.I do think our remaining fixtures are favourable though, and wouldnt trade with any of the other teams struggling near the bottom of the table.

If our away form hadn’t been so unusualy impressive this year, then we would be languishing at the bottom of the table . So I turn to out upcoming home fixtures with heightened anticipation, considering our need to performing at Villa Park.

String together some home results and continue our impressive away form, and we will most certainly be anticipating Europe. It might even take our mins off all the infamous take over shenanigans
